A Chinese study found that men who drink tea may have higher sperm count and concentration.
Churches in China have studied the sperm quality of nearly 1,400 men. The benefits of sperm stimulation have only been observed in men who drink tea three days a week, so experts do not know if a cup a day will be better
Churches, from Hubei University in Wuhan, concluded that "drinking tea can improve male reproductive health".
Sperm count has plummeted in recent decades, prompting warnings of a male fertility crisis.
Doctors say fat destroys sperm quality, For this reason, men who want to become fathers are reminded of the benefits of eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly.
Certain healthy foods, including fruits, leafy greens, and beans, were individually linked to improved sperm concentration and motility – and their ability to move efficiently.
Similarly, fertility studies have also indicated that red meat, coffee, and sugary snacks can lead to lower sperm quality.
But the researchers, who led the study, said the effects of tea consumption on sperm are not claimed.
In a recent study, Chinese churches recruited 1,385 men, who provided approximately 4 samples each between April 2017 and July 2018.
The Volunteers were also questioned about their lifestyle and their health.
All participants were in good health and were selected as potential donors at a sperm bank in Hubei Province, China.
The results, published in the Scientific journal Chemosphere, showed that 28% of the tea is bivalent, while 72% is not bivalent.
